No, fare bucket is relevant if it is J, C, W or Y, which may select seats at any time, free of charge, regardless of status. Her ticket is J inventory. My award ticket, in U inventory, gets me no additional benefits, hence I need to utilize the Ruby privilege of 7 day selection.
Now, I also know that customers in F may select at any time, free of charge (or at least that was the case 18 months ago), regardless of inventory/status. If that's still true, do they extend the same courtesy to connecting F pax?
