If Concur will allow it in the interface, try putting in some oddball stops that are serviced by Star Alliance airlines, like

Denver
Las Vegas
Chicago
Charlotte

The first 2 will get you a pile of additional miles. May not help this year (segments looks like the way to go), but if you are quite close, the additional miles added by doing YYZ-YUL-DEN-LGA (or EWR) might do the trick for you.
