I just checked the online status of my application. It says that my Russian passport is ready. My grandmother and I are heading to the Consulate on Monday and seeing what we've accomplished, if anything at all. You guys will know Monday night.
Anyways, my primary concern now is what would I have to do in regards to an internal passport? Is it possible for me to enter and to leave Russia without an internal passport? From what I've heard, you have to get a stamp in your загранпаспорт that you have a внутренный паспорт and vice versa before they allow you to travel abroad. Is that true?
If it is, the next worry is that I will need to do military paperwork for the internal passport...Войнский учет?
Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy....this is one step closer to where I want to be. But I still want to know what I have to deal with.
On another note, thanks to everyone who's taken the time to give me so many answers over the past year and for helping me learn about this complicated process. You have no idea how important this is to me and how much it means to me that you've helped me. Thank you.
