At the point where the flight is about to board, the flight would no longer be sellable in the system. You would have to be waitlisted (no elite status) and then cleared. The page moves to the pre-populated collection of funds for the standby. It's not like it used to be with an override of the funds collected. If it could, the agent would be tagged for a reason and then held to account.

US is just like anyone else. They are following through with collecting funds whenever the opportunity exists and according to the policy established.

If I could go back to US tomorrow, the thing I would have the toughest time with is being the former agent agent that helped out whenever I could find the opportunity within a customer service window NOT being able to do that any longer.... Automation trumps!
