I believe it is a domestic plane and we will be in economy seats no upgrading here
forgot to add....flying into honolulu could be cheaper than Maui since more planes service that airport. You can book the connection to Maui from Honolulu separately through the interisland airlines instead of a larger carrier.

The flight from ORD-OGG under US law can only be a domestic carrier....it would be a United airlines flight or American Airlines flight.

The only time an international carrier can fly in between us cities is if they are not flying people ifrom US city A and US city B. a few international carriers will fly into one city then hop to another before returning back to their country like stop in JFK then go to Dulles before returning.
