What LH allows is irrelevant. LH can allow as littlr or as much as it wants without making an iota of a diffeence to what your SpiceJet ticket allows, which is governed by the CoC of SpiceJet ticket..
Correct. Your problem is 100% with Spicjet - it's that Spicejet did not follow their published policy. To add complication, that published policy has since changed.
You will probably be successful if you dispute it or take SpiceJet to court because they are blatantly disregarding their own stated policy, but it's your call as to whether the effort is worth it or not.
