I've always done this, and was under the impression that everyone else did as well. Isn't that the point of the little plastic bags, that ALL your liquid HAS to fit in that bag, else you are carrying too much.

Fair enough I think. Just follow the rules and move on, no big deal IMO.

I realise that it is pointless, but just do it. I don't see why everyone wants to break the rules, just because they do not believe it is necessary and does not apply to them, only to others (Not aiming this towards the OP, just a general point).
