You mean like the assumptions that DMQM actually hurt people's chances for upgrades (which I HIGHLY doubt, considering the last time it was offered, it only occured out of four non hub cities)?!

You're in the minority though - most diamonds and other people on here who complain are those who fly 90% for business, and then act as if they are superior to "the kettles", when in fact, they are not.

I'm a diamond who has achieved that status for two years on only personal travel. No DMQM promos and no AmEx bonuses - but even then, I'm all for it. Not only does it help Delta fill empty seats, but it helps those who maybe shy from the next plateau who dont have the luxury of business travel. It wont shift the upgrade availability radically - but most people like to panic and jump to conclusions if it solves a selfish purpose on their own end.
