I do have a Platinum Amex, but, even if you subtract the AMEX MQMs, I still more than make DM via BIS - and all regular fares - no 50% bonuses. I only upgraded from the Gold Card to the Platinum Card when I realized that the AMEX MQMs add to MM status, with the hopes of achieving lifetime - - uhhh, oops - - I mean ANNUAL GM a little bit sooner!
