I just joined the priority club (dad forced me to join because him and mom are already ambassadors with over 30k spare points) So he made me join and i have gold status.

1. Stay in hotel and rack up a lot of services (eg. room services, spa services) or get the Chase Credit Card. If you have an Amex and get Membership Rewards, you can also transfer those. Don't forget to sign up for the promotions...
2. I'd say it's better than most frequent guest programs, but it's a frequent guest program. If you can get more stays, I find that Royal Ambassador status (highest level, invite only), is amazing value and great treatment (upgrades to suites in IC properties, nice treats/amenities in your room, free minibar, free in-room movies). It's what keeps me doing my very best to stay loyal to them, even though my company perfers that I stay in Marriotts.
