Don't you clear customs in LHR so this point is moot? However, I think that this would be the case if you were flying to the US, since you need to pre-clear customs.

That said, does AC offer any Canada - Canada - US routes on the same flight number?

If all passengers have to disembark, then obviously, then the AC flight attendants would have had to awaken her up. Or in St. John's, on this flight, the ongoing passengers (to LHR) do not have to disembark?
