I have an iPad one and a Galaxy tab , they are 95% the same , and if you are not already in the Apple camp with an iPhone then I would go with the Galaxy ,

The Galaxy will take an extra memory card , and it will play Flash websites , plus you are not stuck with Apples idea of what they think you want to do, and the price is much better.

I am sure there are some negatives , the biggest is that Apps on the Android market do not have to go thru as much testing as they would with Apples iStore.

I like them both as toys but if I had to do work on them I would get a small notebook,
