These were the menus from my trip to France, both going and returning.
July 11, 2012. Air France #39: IAD-CDG, Seat 22C
Orzo pasta with curry and grilled chicken
Choice of main course
Beef with wild mushrooms and mashed potatoes
-or-
Provencale-style penne pasta
Cheese
Tapioca pudding
Strawberry-lemon cake
Coffee and Tea
I have to say this was a very filling meal. Being Italian, I love orzo pasta and ate it all. I chose the beef and it was very tasty. The cake was good and I saved the tapioca pudding and shared it with my girlfriend later during the flight.
July 18, 2012. Air France #28: CDG-IAD, Seat 12J
Zucchini and tomato tartare, sheep's milk cheese
Choice of main course
Chicken with pesto sauce, creamy polenta
-or-
Fish fritters, creamy sauce, mixed carrots, bulgur wheat and carrots with coriander
Camembert cheese
Apple slices
Cherry crisp
Coffee and Tea.
I have to say, my favorite part of this meal was the tartare. My girlfriend didn't care for hers but I enjoyed it very much. I chose the chicken as my main course, and it was pretty good. I also enjoyed the cheese and the apples, but the cherry crisp was rough to chew and was sort of bland.
Air France's meals are defenitely the best airline meals I've ever had. Hands down.
