To get back to the real world, isn't this one of the better accidents to have before a flight? (If there is going to be any mishap at all.) Just think: 40 minutes to get to know the crew, tell some jokes and stories, and share the great British Blitz spirit. You're all old friends before you even step onto the aircraft.
A bit like when you fly out with a set of cabin crew, and you know (and tell them) that you're flying back with them a couple of days later. That, IME, always guarantees getting looked after better on the second flight simply because the ice was broken long ago.
