If you are feeling philanthropic, donate the flight to an organization, like Boys and Girl club or something like that. Or go to www.reddit.com and state your situation, and offer a free flight to whoever's story gets the most upvotes. There have been threads like that before; IIRC the winner had a mother w/ terminal cancer and wanted to take her to see the beach/ocean before she passed.
