First trip in first, any pointers or tips?
I've just booked my first reward flight, I'm taking Mrs Spruce to New York in January. I managed to book this using my 2 for 1 and some miles we accumulated over the last year. The guy on the phone at BA assured me that it will be new first.
We depart from NCL to LHR then onto JFK.
I have a few questions.
1. Will we have lounge access at NCL before our flight to LHR?
2. Where is the Concorde Room located in T5? (I shall be in T5 on Wednesday so will have a look for it then.)
3. On returning to LHR from JFK is there a special security line for First or is it just the fast track line, that always seems very busy?
4. On the way out we have selected seats 2a and 3a, I realise these are one in front of the other, would these better than sitting in two of the middle seats together, which to me do not seem to offer much privacy.
5. Is the in flight dining served on a set schedule or can we order at a specific time?
6. How well in advance should I book a spa treatment? Mrs spruce seems keen on this!
7. We leave LHR at 11:30, will it still be possible to get a breakfast in the lounge at that time.
Any other things to look out for that may not be obvious to a newcomer to First?
One other un related question. I have recently hit bronze. Will the business class check in apply for just myself or can my wife join me. It would be nice to use it on our flight in Y on Wednesday. My better half will hit bronze on this flight.
Thanks in advance!
