London to Tbilisi - What to expect??
Hi all,
New year, new flying requirements - it looks as though I will be doing the LHR > TBS route regularly in the next year, and having been quite fond of the BMI mid-haul product (though not of the frustrating routing flying first beyond Tbilisi to Baku before heading back to TBS), I am now wondering what I can expect from BA. While I'm delighted the route is now direct, I am grimacing at the thought of a standard A320 CE product having got used to the much better BMI mid-haul business product, and am therefore considering whether there are any benefits at all to being in front of the curtain to justify the much higher price.
Can anyone advise what the food service front & back is likely to be on this route, and whether we can expect any improved comfort offering in the expensive seats? With a GC (and therefore the chance at seat A or C just behind the curtain, or an exit seat, I can't see a way to justifying the extra expense.
As a general plea (but one which will no doubt fall on deaf ears), I do think BA is "missing a trick" on not providing a good bespoke mid-haul product on direct routes - I really think they could "clean up" the European business market if they did, and at premium prices - but then again, what do I know....
