I wish this would have been the case for my last connection. Waiting at DEN for my evening flight to CVG (ExpressJet flight) coming back from a labor day weekend trip. Plane was the same one scheduled all day per flight status on the app (though had changed compared to the day before). Where is this aircraft coming from clearly not working properly for this flight, as it showed it was arriving in the morning (huh, sitting in DEN all day?).

About 25 minutes prior to scheduled departure time, agent announces an hour delay because they are waiting for the inbound aircraft, coming from IND. Looked on flight status - it is due in 2 minutes late, at 8:05pm. Our scheduled departure time: 7:34pm (yes, you're reading right: our scheduled departure time was 29 minutes prior to the scheduled inbound aircraft arrival).

I've seen tight turnaround times, and planes switched around last minute - I do understand this happens sometimes. But this was not one of those cases - this was the same plane scheduled all day. And why did they wait so long to announce the delay? The whole situation, to me, is absolutely unacceptable. An hour delay - not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but the reason really does make a difference - especially when they had the whole day to figure this out. Wrote an email into Premier Voice, but still haven't heard back.
