(b) AF vastly reduced the inventory of "O" for miles, and that

incorrect. I would even go as far as blaming delta in
direct misleading. I believe that a delta representative should step into the discussion now and provide some explanations.
I have tried to follow this thread because I do purchase at least one of these AF W/O fares a year, but what are you sources as your summary is not what the OP said but I can't remember if others clarified the details.
