For me, it's more focused on brand avoidance than loyalty. What I might appear to be loyal to is in fact what I do not consciously avoid.

When you wish to avoid a lot of brands, many through no fault of their own but more to do with something not fitting what I want and not meaning that they are bad brands in the slightest, you are left with a few which you do not wish to avoid.

Waitrose is one that I do not avoid. Tesco, I'm happy to order online for water, loo paper etc but I do not want to go to the store unless absolutely necessary because it tends to be crowded. Harrods, I avoid on weekends, for instance.
