The CDMA A1429 model (if sold simlock free) is the best option for world travel at the moment.

However, it seems that none of the iPhone5's is supporting the 2,6Ghz band which will be used in the future through many countries in Europe. (Most rollout will happen at the 1,8Ghz band to start (which is the most used 3G band) but later they'll switch to 2,6Ghz. But I guess will have an Iphone8 or so when this will happen
