Very true. If I had 7 - 8 years plat with AF I'd do everything to keep in going
With BA in a strange way you aren't "pushed" to fly as if you are gold then fly very litlle one year you just go down to silver and then you can push back to gold
But there is no real incentive to get the 1500 tier points year on year and the difference with BA silver vs gold ain't massive
