Love how we all play marketing department in this thread

I guess that's all part of the fun determining Hyatt’s next wave of free night promotions in our lifetime

Of course speculating is fun!
I'm going to agree with antonius66 here to a fair degree. In the markets I travel to and frequently a Hyatt Place can be double that of a full service hotel.
Granted there are certainly parts of the country where the opposite would be true and the limited service are far less.
I never fully bought into that Hyatt is now a chain of limited service budget properties and compelling promotions wouldn't make sense.Bah humbug
Faster Free Nights never has to be repeated but something interesting and productive for all parties benefit should take its place without question.
It’s of my opinion that when Hyatt was in the best of their promotional years from the late 90s through the end of 2010 what made me feel especially fond of the program and proud to be a member was the unconditional nature of everybody to pay an eligible rate and earn in a broad based promotion across the globe. If there is one thing I thought I’d never see is Hyatt Gold Passport becoming conservative.
One thing I would like to add and to Hyatt’s credit they have always limited targeted marketing and did it more discreetly when they enaged in such practice.
Hyatt has always been an equal opportunity player at promotion time.In comparison to most of the major programs that became very heavy handed when the consultancy world pushed heavy down marketing department throats trying to reign in budgets.
I’ll never forget SPG in 2005 when they crashed and burned at the Freddie’s from promotional austerity at the program. They became overly conservative that year and sadly greedy to their most loyal customers except to target new customers and other select groups.Passionate members rebelled
But SPG historically has not only listened better than any other program
they have reacted and responded to a fair degree
SPG has recovered nicely over the years in many respects made some serious improvements under good leadership and created a compelling lifetime elite status program that I am truly grateful for^
And sure I can say there remain issues.Only customers are perfect not programs
