Nokia/Symbian phones have excellent keyboards, and also very good overall build quality (my Nokia E71, which is going strong as my backup phone, is five years old and works as new). One of the newer iterations, the E6, even combines a touch screen with keyboard:

As Dubai Stu points out, these phones are for people who can accomplish their needs with the built-in functionality (Nokia packs a LOT of functionality into the base feature set). If you're a person married to a proliferation of apps, however, probably best to look elsewhere.
