Regarding seats, I would suggest getting an aisle and window, even if they are not adjacent. (DL F on a 757 is 2-2.) Seat your kid in the window. The person in the aisle next to your kid will gladly swap for your aisle.

I'll keep window and aisle. What I'm afraid of the bulkhead is the amount of time we spend without access to toys. But perhaps that's because in 2 of our last 4 flights we spent more than an hour in the "about to take off" sort of stage...
