Great to see they are looking at SCs earn on EK metal when not on a QF flight number.
I don't expect SCs when (for example) flying EK from London to Dubai on a booking totally unrelated to QF, but I certainly would hope QF will look at the situation when (for e.g.) you book an itin. on one of their shared routes like SYD to LON, and (for whatever reason) one or even both of the flights are on an EK flight number: I would hope they would create some rule/arrangement where in such specific routes you will get the same SCs etc no matter which plane or flight number you are on.
This would be a bit like the BA JSA arrangement, where if you fly BA in Disc. Y usually you get 25% of flown miles but it was 100% miles when flown on the JSA routes. Special arrangements were made due to the deal between them. Hopefully its exactly this kind of thing QF are examining.
Looking at the article itself though, it is a lot less positive than the selected sections the OP posted !
Its starts "Qantas Frequent Flyer members will be able to “earn and burn” more points after the proposed alliance between the flying kangaroo and Dubai government-owned airline Emirates, but will have to book on a Qantas flight if they want to earn the coveted status credits" and later says "Travellers will still earn status credits on code-share Emirates flights, he says, as long as they've booked it under the Qantas flight number. Frequent flyer members who book on a Qantas-Emirates flight under the EK (Emirates) flight number will earn frequent flyer points but not status credits".
