Just booked a trip to Dubai, from Amsterdam and used 20,000 miles to upgrade to first on the inbound journey. I did ex-eu as it is cheaper and I get to use the CCR on the inbound.

They got me in row one on the F sector and will be welcoming the 6'6" bed for the night flight.

I am sure that there will be some better uses of my money / avios pointed out but given the short notice at which I have had to book the trip, I think I have done OK. I am hoping for some availability in WTP as I would like a power point when I fly out, but I guess you can't have it all.

Please point out my errors so I can learn for next time though.
