The final destination is Kota Kinabalu in Borneo.

AY will let us go in via HKG and back via SIN making for a nice 3 centre holiday and we're keen to go back to HKG. The long flights are also overnight each way which works very well with the kids.

Oh, and there's a chance I might be able to trim the AY cost by getting on for £1k if we have 24hrs in HEL on the way out, and if we get the 4pm flight to HK we could well get flat seats.

WY will only let us go through MCT and KUL, although for an extra OMR135 pp you can route through BKK (but given there's 5 of us, that's an extra £1k). Given it's a summer trip, MCT will be too hot to enjoy, few of the flights can be done overnight, the transfer times are a bit sucky and BKK is in flood season then!

The seats do however look superb...
