80K miles + $131 in taxes/fees.

Tried to book online but the outbound kept getting pushed to J and upping the miles to 100K. Called the GM line and worked with a great agent who got the outbound I wanted to keep the price at 80K. Would have preferred the BOS-AMS nonstop, although I have a good seat on the DTW-AMS 777 leg.

20+ hour stopover in AMS, which gives me time to see a few things I missed on my previous visit there.

I've been looking to do MUC-ATL in J for some time. It's a 767-400 so it has good BE seats, and the 11 hour daytime flight is long enough to really make the most of being in J.

I feel this redemption is a good deal and it didn't take all that much searching to find flights that worked for me at the low award level.
