While it is true it wasn't any of my direct business educating and standing up for a fellow citizen against a tyrannical government( or the agent of) is not only my right it is my responsibility.
Every time I traverse the CP, I take an opportunity to look around and me and see if anyone needs help. I try to offer assistance in an unassuming way as possible. I have lost track of the number of times I have watched another passenger's stuff on the conveyor after the xray while they were distracted by the screening. While rare, there are several occasions in which I have spoken to passengers to help them with the screening process. I have helped with babies by holding stuff and assisted with elderly passengers by holding their cane or helped put their bag on the belt. I would think nothing of commenting to a TSO about poor treatment of a fellow passenger. Might I get in trouble? Yeah, maybe. I don't care.
