Yes, there's nothing to stop you going to take a look. The Heathrow pod station is located on Level 2 of the Short Stay car park. Take the lift or stairs to Level 2 and follow the signs to the station.

Some people on here might curse me for saying so, but hey, if it's quiet and you have 10 mins, take the Pod to the car park - terminal A or B - then get out and come back again.

If if's busy, I'd suggest not doing so, as you'll delay genuine passengers - but if it's quiet, I'm sure the world will survive. Have fun.
