That's pretty cynical. Why would AA even bother if that was all that would be involved? The money they'd make on those 2 routes wouldn't be worth having 2 of their most junior people spend any time on it.
This is great news. LAX - DXB on EK or even LAX-JFK on AA then JFK-DXB on EK - finally a decent way to visit the region. No getting shoved off onto BA at LHR.
