A full fare tkt might be $7000 but NO ONE pays full fare on UA. If its $2000 & that's the fare dif one way to Z class, that's a legitimate buy up, not a TOD. UA would be crazy not to take $2000 one way if they can get it. I doubt many people bite & $2000. Most are even to cheap to pay $1000 even though THAT'S a great deal
A great deal compared to buying it in the first place, but for most it's more (or close to) the cost of the ticket itself. When I was younger I found it unthinkable to spend $200 on an upgrade.... (I'm not very old at all now)
