Flying LAX-OGG-LAX and UG availability opened up on my return redeye.

I have read that these are old planes and that FC is not really worth much on this flight...but what about for the redeye?

Do the seats recline enough to make sleeping a real possibility? I assume there is no meal service.

Are there any particularly good EC seats that are nearly as good without spending the SM for the UG?
