I almost never fly, and southwest doesn't fly from the airport in my home location. What's the best way to liquidate these Southwest things? I'd like to get $ for them if possible

The OW can be used by anybody. Ask around and see if you can book a flight for someone in your family. It is technically not permitted to sell them, but Craig's List has them from time to time.

As for the points, If you just want to make them disappear and get some value, log on, hover over Rapid Rewards in the upper right corner, and choose redeem. Follow the links to the gift cards. $100 for 10K points usually, so a bit over $400 in gift cards. It is a horrible return compared to flights, but you are not going to fly. Something is better than nothing. There are very rare sales at $100/8K points, emphasis on the "rare."
