Since we're at the bottom of the elite upgrade list, chances as a Gold are heavily dependent on route and day/time. Since your destinations are likely fixed, your best bet would be to try to fly on days which are lower-elite load (Tu,W,Sa) or lower-F-demand (early mornings).

Avoid Thursday and Friday afternoons and Monday mornings for sure.
