this thread how many people have lost status due to not getting tier points on account of redeeming too much?
I was booking our third redemption in a quite short period recently when had a moment of clarity and realized if I continued this trend I could potentially miss status next year.
If you are keen, make sure there are still availabilities, cancel the redemptions and book revenue flights & UuA.
As already stated earlier by LeisureFirst, it can be an excellent way of doing things. In particular WT+ to CW is great, as you can almost claw back the Avios used for UuA (the rates from WT+ to CW is half of what it takes from CW to F too).
