The MR certificate is valid through Summer 2013.

The real issue is whether it is worth to burn 80'000 points on a Cat 4 property, or use them (along with other points) to stay in a Cat 6-8 property sometime in the future.

The nightly rate is not so high, so I wonder if it makes sense to use the points at a more expensive property.

Is there a "rule of thumb", i.e. MR points/US$ threshold when it becomes advantageous to use the points?
