Yesterday I flew from LAX to DXB via LHR in First.
The LAX to LHR was crewed by mixed fleet and the LHR to DXB was crewed by the original long haul fleet. I never thought I'd say this but the mixed fleet were so much better.
1. Their attitude and desire to help was second to none
2. All very young and full of energy
3. CSM that actually bothered to talk to you and thank you for the business vs a CSD who seemed disinterested at best
4. Whilst the service routine for the mixed fleet could have been a little quicker, nothing was too much trouble
Maybe I got the DXB crew on a bad day, but the attitude was noticeably different.
I never thought I'd say this, but I think mixed fleet are beginning to pull it off. Well done MF!
I did a LHR-LAX the other day in CW and can report exactly the same as above. Wonderful service and nothing was too much trouble. So great to see the youthful pair be so kind and energetic on the UD too.
It was a complete contrast to my LHR-SIN in F a few weeks earlier that was crewed by one of the most disinterested and lackadaisical set of BA F crew I have ever had the misfortune to encounter!
The rest of the time on other BA routes in the last few months (EBB, SYD, JFK, TIP, TLS... I may forget some) have been 'just fine' for the sake of balance
