I am sure that You will have a perfect time there. The hotel is brand new and it has an amazing design. Rooms are quite small but very lovely with old pictures of musicians. Also the bar and the restaurant are beautiful.
As Platinum member you will get an upgrade to a Club Room (without access to the Club).Also there is some chocolate in the room and a voucher for 2 drinks at the bar. (I would recommend to drink a Affligem Draft Beer. This come strait from Belgium and is one of the best Beers in the world).
The only negative about the hotel is the sound of the ventilation system from the bathroom. Even with closed door it disturbed our sleeping very much.
The Crowne Plaza Amsterdam South is in a very new area of Amsterdam "Het Zuid". There are many modern and nice buildings and a lot of bars and restaurants. I could recommend the Asian Food Chain Wagamama. The connections to the City Center of Amsterdam are also fantastic. You can take eather the tram or the metro. I would recommend the tram because the line crosses the Museum District of Amsterdam. The metro takes a big look via the RAI.
