I've always shot a video when I pick up any car and when I return any car. I began doing that years ago when one of the national car rental chains accused me of damage that was already there (they forgot to note it, this was 10 years ago?). I doubt I'm being watched for taking a 1-2 minute video of a rental car and yes I've done this at airport rental drop offs. That's the only place to shoot a video (or whereever you happen to be dropping it off at). Video speaks volumes in court cases. Very good advice on here.
