However yes, you also need qualifying flights too, not necessarily on BA. It can be on Iberia and/or BA codeshares, including AA. In practical terms you probably need to fly into London, Madrid or Barcelona to get this. To be precise, eligible flights are either marketed OR operated by BA; alternatively marketed AND operated by IB.
