I do a little work travel (less and less each year it seems), but as a leisure traveler, I've made MVPG in the past by using DL for international trips. It does increase the threshhold by 10K, but if part of your travel is international, it is the easiest way to go. DL round trip to SYD is a nice deposit of nearly 17K miles into your account.
