Do flights purchased with SM earn SM?
There's probably a FAQ somewhere on this, and I did do a cursory search for it without finding the answer.

I am seeing some TPAC coach flights out of SEA (possibly others too) where the cost of purchasing the flight with SM is less than the miles needed for an award. If no SM earned, that complicates the equation. TIA.
