I think you should book the regular king room and ask the hotel to solve the club access issue if it happens. I do not think we need to pay extra points to just guarantee our access to the club room.

In process of booking hotels for an early Nov. trip to China. Per advice of some ex-pats am planning on staying at the GH for proximity to tourist site and was going to use points.
Options from GP include 75k points for Grand King or 90k points for Club King (5 night stay). Reading through the thread it seems that the Diamond access to the RC issue has been solved and that most Diamonds are receiving some sort of room upgrade.
Should I just book the Grand King and keep my fingers crossed?
