SEA to MIA is 210 in First. However MIA to AUA is only 40 in J. So I make it 500 TP in all. You can get BAEC TPs and Avios on almost all paid for AA flights. However yes, you also need qualifying flights too, not necessarily on BA. It can be on Iberia and/or BA codeshares, including AA. In practical terms you probably need to fly into London, Madrid or Barcelona to get this. To be precise, eligible flights are either marketed OR operated by BA; alternatively marketed AND operated by IB.
