They wanted me to pay a fare of $136 to get the right to upgrade. At that rate, I may as well have booked the Acela using my corporate discount for $100!

Anyone else run into this or am I just dealing with 2 misinformed agents?
Wow - you get a corporate discount of $100 per Acela ticket?? That's awesome! I've heard of vendor negotiated discounts for airfare along the Eastern corridor but not for the Acela.
