More of the garbage we have come to expect from number_6. The NSW State Debt Recovery Office has far more resources available to it to recover these fines than any debt collection agency will ever have. They can cancel drivers licences. They can cancel vehicle registrations. They can garnishee wages and bank accounts. They can order community service to pay unpaid fines. They can also get offenders imprisoned in lieu of unpaid fines.

None of this is available to private debt collection agencies.
