I tend to pick up my UA BP at the kiosk at the RailLink station in EWR. I would think that if my res were cancelled I would find out at that point, and that is still an hour or two before the flight.

Yeah, but Philly (or Trenton or Princeton) to JFK is a terrible ground trek. I would suffer through E+ out of EWR just to avoid the traffic through NYC to JFK.

But as long as I have free parking by JFK or the $7 @ PHL no reason to start up again with EWR
Please do tell about the free parking at JFK.
