I like that idea. It's relatively simple yet still very useful. Or I could go all out and expand it to an automatic Mileage Run planner, maybe even something that checks on occasion and alerts you if a good mileage run deal becomes available. Hmm, what if it actually tracked your FF account to determine how many more miles you need before your cutoff date to get/maintain your desired level, and could plan out the most cost-effective (in money or time) mileage runs as they come up.

The problem on my part is going to be that this kind of idea will probably not win anything from the competition. Previous winners have included an ad network that delivered targeted ads based on your travel history, a system to let consumers easily book flight/hotel/car rental packages from their smartphones, and similarly general stuff. We here at FlyerTalk are a niche audience, so I'm going to have to think about the best way to build something useful to us that I can also present as interesting/intriguing to the general public.

Anyway, I just finished the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon. I won special mention for my entry "Pardon the Disruption", which puts me in the top 7 out of 151 total entries. Not a big win and no prize, but still an achievement. After I've rested a bit, I'll be starting to work on this one in the next day or two.
